Dear IDBF Member,

Co-organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board and Hong Kong China Dragon Boat Association, the legendary Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races (Event) will continue to take place in the beautiful Victoria Harbour, off Tsim Sha Tsui East Promenade on 15 – 16 June 2024. You are cordially invited to nominate ONE dragon boat team representing your country/ region to compete at the Event. Teams will be offered a hosting package (shown below) and are invited to compete at the following race categories:

Race Categories	Team Size
International Open Championship	Since only standard boat races will be held, each dragon boat team must consist of at least 16 paddlers, 1 drummer, 1 helm and 1 team manager, i.e., 19 persons without any reserve.
International Mixed Championship
International Women’s Championship
Fancy Dress Competition

Hosting Package:
1. Waiver for participation fee
2. Complimentary accommodation for 22 persons (maximum for 3 nights between 14 and 16 June 2024, on shared room basis)
3. Invitation of 22 persons to Celebration Dinner on Sun, 16 June 2024

Prize monies will be offered to the best performing teams for the International Open Grand Championship, International Mixed Grand Championship, and International Women’s Grand Championship. For eligibility, race rules & regulations and prize money details, please refer to the Race Bulletin 1 published on HKCDBA’s website.

Please feel free to share the race information to other dragon boat teams in your country/ region and they are welcomed to join the races at their own costs.
